Mayberry Bed and Breakfast
With the world so scary today, sometimes you just want to stay home and hide, tune into shows like Mayberry and escape for just a few hours or so. I am a baby boomer, and I find I enjoy the old shows more than some of the new ones. In doing so, our "friends" never age....Barney will always be Barney, and Opie will aways be a little kid, not Ron Howard, the director, who has lost his hair like so many of us. When we heard of Don's passing, the first thought is, this YOUNG BARNEY died.......we forget he was 81 and hopefully had a good, fulfilling life. They had special ingredients that help in living life really well..the Mayberry folk hardly ever left town... they were satisfied to just live life in their town..we all should learn to live simple and live life just like them. They used their time on enjoying thoughts and feelings and sweet memories of their loved ones, and we enjoyed it with them.
I found a Bed and Breakfast that replicated Mayberry inWisconsin. Choose to stay in Aunt Bee's room, Andy's room, or Opie's room. It just seems right!
